Despite having tons of mutual friends and growing up in towns relatively close to each other, Jackson and I had, somehow, never met until the summer of 2022. He plays in the Old Friends Invitational Golf Tournament in Bamberg every year with his fraternity brothers, who are childhood friends of mine. I was in Bamberg for a few weeks training for my new job, and decided to go hang out at the golf course with friends, where I introduced myself to Jackson for the first time! He swears that he introduced himself first... He asked to come to Charleston the next week and take me out for dinner, and the rest is history! 

 

The next two years, we found ourselves inseparable and Jackson made the big move from Greenville to West Ashley in June of 2023. The following February, I was on a plane to Texas, for work, when Jackson sneakily met with my dad for breakfast at Waffle House to ask him for my hand in marriage! On March 15, I was surprised with a proposal in my backyard - which is the house we will live in as newlyweds! We had the most perfect night celebrating with our parents over dinner, and then Jackson surprised me, yet again, with a surprise party with all of our closest family and friends! It was a night that neither of us will ever forget as long as we live.

 

Even as a Carolina grad, I have enjoyed tagging along with the Flemings to all of the Clemson home games and they have taken me in as their own, with no prejudice, from the beginning! From my family, Jackson will be gaining SEVEN nieces and nephews and over 40 cousins... And a spoiled, 65 pound dog! I would say we both are adjusting well to these changes! 

 

Growing up, my mom always told me to make sure I marry someone who is going to treat me well and be "attentive" to me. I never really thought much about that, until Jackson came around. He is the perfect example of what would make a wonderful husband and partner in life. He loves God even more than he loves me and has shown me the true importance of living a faith based life. We both believe that a marriage rooted in Christ is the most important thing you can have - no matter what life may throw at you! 

 

In our time together, Jackson and I have enjoyed celebrating many of our friends getting married, and we are thrilled that our time is coming soon. Spending time with our friends and family is our favorite thing to do and we look forward to celebrating with everyone we love in the coming months!
